SUMMARY
Responsible for meeting individual sales goals and new business targets and providing comprehensive service and/or solicitation activities on accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies new leads and gathers the necessary information for submissions;
Develops, presents and sells new business proposals to appropriate prospects;
Gathers necessary information; develops, delivers and sells renewal proposals;
Performs periodic service calls on all accounts and provides or coordinates customer service and claims assistance as requested;
Solicits new accounts to conduct cross selling, direct selling and cold calling;
Facilitates joint sales calls and the sharing of lead information among departmental members;
Attends and actively participates in regular sales meetings;
Completes applications, obtains quotes, negotiates premiums and commissions, prepares proposals and presentations;
Binds coverage, prepares binders and delegates certificates;
Reviews coverage, identifies deficiencies and determines appropriate level of coverage;
Meets with clients as needed or directed by Producer;
Reviews accounting history, responds to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies and contacts client on receivable collections;
Participates in the overall agency effort to develop and maintain strong company relationships through positive professional contacts with company representatives;
Achieves annual sales goals and provides regular feedback to the sales manager on progress toward those goals;
Achieves educational and professional development goals established by agency management;
Maintains a professional demeanor and actively supports and promotes a positive public image for the agency;
Serves as technical expert, assisting department members to resolve complex issues;
Collection of fees, reconciliation and resolution of any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date;
Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Insurance or Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ten (10) or more years of related work experience
One (1) or more years minimum insurance industry experience
Valid Insurance License
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
