Job Title: Accounting Associate
Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Associate to join our growing team. As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks to support our clients and internal operations. This is a full-time, remote position with the opportunity for growth and development within the company.
Responsibilities:

Set Up New Vendor –Work with Purchasing to set up new vendors and maintain vendor files

Vendor payments - Review and enter vendor invoices to Sedona, prepare check run
- Year End Tax forms – Prepare year end 1099 & 1096 forms
- Deposits - prepare lockbox and in office bank deposits, process ACH and credit card deposits in Accounting software, post payments to customer accounts, review and resolve open credits and other unapplied cash
- Process billing - Installation –reconcile jobs, bill jobs, follow up on open questions, enter recurring in Sedona, accept customer payment over the phone, investigate and resolve billing questions, assist with sending completion packets to customers, submitting AIA compliant billing.
- Process billing – Service – review resolved service tickets; use professional judgment to confirm hours, parts, and notes are appropriate; enter recurring based on Data changes on service tickets; bill service tickets
- Journal Entries – Utilize payroll reports, vendor invoices and other data to generate and post general ledger journal entries
- Reconciliations – Conduct monthly reviews of general ledger accounts for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and propose corrections and solutions
- Monthly Reports & Scorecard – Export data from Accounting software to complete monthly reports, research and propose automation suggestions for reporting
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Accounting, required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, preferred.
- 1-3+ years relevant experience
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft suite, required
- Experience in customer service related field, required
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to respond calmly in difficult situations
- Strong time management and prioritization, being able to balance multiple projects at once and effectively prioritize based on importance
- Clear, concise and polite verbal communication skills and professional written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Good follow-up skills
- Able to think ahead and anticipate next steps
- Strong technical aptitude – ability to use Microsoft suite of products and industry specific applications
- Able to learn via a combination of on-the-job training and self-study
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
