Application Developer

Location: Kolkata, India | Hybrid (3 days per week in office)

Hyland is seeking an Application Developer to join our Information Systems team, focusing on building and configuring solutions within Hyland's Salesforce platform. In this role, you will translate business and technical requirements into working solutions, with a strong focus on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Revenue Cloud managed packages. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

  • Translate business and technical requirements into working solutions in accordance with best practices; design, prototype, build, and configure solutions while supporting solution design for other team members.
  • Communicate and gain approval from team members on developed solutions; collaborate across business areas to ensure solutions meet requirements and revise as necessary.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration testing of business applications, ensuring optimal performance, resolving issues, and advising business customers on testing practices.
  • Migrate solutions within the DevOps pipeline using designated tools, adhering to change management procedures and ensuring all solutions are thoroughly documented for ease of maintenance.
  • Participate in planning, prioritizing, and estimating incoming work; identify opportunities to improve team standards and work with peers to drive process improvement.
  • Safeguard the security, integrity, and confidentiality of the company's internal systems and data by complying with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices.

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting the Salesforce platform, with a focus on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Revenue Cloud managed packages.
  • Experience with declarative and programmatic Salesforce capabilities, including Flow, Lightning Web Components, Apex, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Good oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.

  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact in a professional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and work with peers to drive meaningful enhancements to team standards.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
