Introduction

Reports To: IT Director (UK)   The Automation & Systems Engineer oversees the administration, reliability, and continuous enhancement of core internal systems.   The position focuses on workflow automation, system integrations, and business process optimization—specifically leveraging HaloPSA and Rewst—to eliminate manual effort, standardize operations, and support data-driven decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear communication, training, and guidance to support smooth end-user adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for all workflows, integrations, and change control procedures to ensure operational resilience and audit readiness.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data pipelines to provide operational visibility and management insights.
  • Collaborate with departmental leads to refine workflows, translate requirements into technical solutions, and support the practical rollout of AI initiatives.
  • Build and maintain secure API, webhook, and data integrations between business platforms.
  • Act as technical owner for internal platforms, driving continuous configuration and improvements across HaloPSA, Rewst, and related tools.
  • Identify, design, build, and maintain automations to eliminate repetitive tasks, minimize errors, and scale operations.

  Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Disciplined approach to change control, testing, risk assessment, and system governance.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset focused on process efficiency, accuracy, and detail.
  • Microsoft Power Platform (Fundamentals or App Maker Associate) or Rewst certification
  • Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, and Windows client administration.
  • Demonstrated capability with PowerShell, REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks.
  • CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security Fundamentals, or equivalent
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate or Azure Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation
  • PSA & Automation Tools: Hands-on experience administrating and configuring HaloPSA (forms, workflows, templates, reporting) and building workflows in Rewst (or equivalent automation platforms).
  • 4–6+ years in IT operations, systems administration, or automation, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or fast-paced technology environment.
