SALARY: The salary range for this position is $82,632.10 to $133,935.92 for Schedule A, and $82,632.10 to $127,239.13 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to August 29, 2015, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 29, 2015, are considered Schedule B.

The supervisor will collaborate with other supervisors and managers from the IT development, data warehouse, business analysis, research, and business practice areas to develop the vision and plans for new interactive dashboards, data visualizations and reports to enable the organization to draw new insights and make data-driven decisions. They will need a strong understanding of how data is collected, maintained, and interpreted and will assist in defining ways to summarize and display data for business process improvement. Experience in business analysis and data analysis methodologies, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of best practices in interactive dashboard, data visualization and report design, is required as solutions are developed.
The selected candidate will prioritize, assign, and review work within the team. This position requires excellent writing and presentation skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, creative problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to customer service and response across a complex set of varying business areas.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Create formal project plans, establish time goals, and assign resources.
Coordinate work activities with Judiciary and external agencies to ensure that objectives are understood, and that goals and priorities are satisfied.
Make presentations to management and staff and gather feedback through site visits.
Oversee the gathering and preparation of detailed specifications for new dashboards, reports, and other data products on which management and operations-related decisions are based.
Partner with other supervisors and managers to oversee the design and development of dashboards, data visualizations, and reports.
Oversee the testing of dashboards and reports for accuracy and completeness as well as their documentation and training so they can be readily utilized and understood.
Teach, coach, and mentor staff in job responsibilities and to assist in career progression.
Formulate policies, procedures, and practices for the organization related to dashboards and reporting.
Develop vision strategies for self-service of data and creation of key performance indicators via dashboards and reports.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau and WebFOCUS is preferred.
Note: Although this position is based out of the Administrative Office of the Courts (Trenton, NJ) travel to the 15 County Vicinages and other Judiciary locations may be required.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and five years of professional experience, two years of which shall have included experience in development, coordination, analysis, implementation, administration or research.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above –OR– a law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of general experience as indicated above.
