This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage and grow a diverse portfolio of equipment breakdown and specialty insurance accounts. You will partner with client companies to evaluate risks, underwrite new and renewal business, and ensure profitable outcomes. The position combines analytical rigor with relationship-building, allowing you to influence account strategy while maintaining high service standards. You will collaborate with engineering teams, attend client meetings, and leverage industry knowledge to structure comprehensive coverage solutions. Accountabilities:
- Manage renewal accounts, including reviewing data, preparing and sending quotes, following up with clients, and issuing policies
- Assess new business submissions, prequalify accounts, coordinate with engineering as needed, and manage quoting and issuance
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client companies through meetings, calls, and ongoing engagement
- Apply market knowledge to ensure accurate underwriting, coverage, and rated instructions
- Support portfolio profitability by identifying risks, recommending coverage solutions, and mitigating exposures
- Participate in training and knowledge-sharing initiatives to maintain expertise and enhance decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in P&C, mechanical, or facilities engineering
- Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of machinery and equipment breakdown exposures and coverages
- Sales and customer service orientation, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of underwriting and marketing principles
