Envision HealthcareSummary: The Engineer Cloud Security is responsible for safeguarding the systems & data in Envision’s multi-cloud environment by leveraging skills, experience, and various cloud platform-specific and third-party tools. IaaS, SaaS, & PaaS cloud technologies provide compute, storage, and network resources used by Envision IT to build agile & resilient systems. Cloud Security Engineers are responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect these cloud environments against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.

Responsibilities
- Monitors cloud environments and assist in responding to incidents and alerts.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices & controls into the deployment and development lifecycle.
- Assists in conducting regular security assessments, control verifications, and vulnerability mitigations.
- Assists in the development and enforcement of cloud security policies and procedures in alignment with established best practices and compliance requirements.
- Assists in administering security and security awareness training to IT and business users.
Qualifications
- Be available periodically for on-call or after-hours support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Firm understanding of general cloud computing concepts. Real-world experience with at least one major cloud platform a plus.
- Knowledge of security concepts & frameworks, cloud administration consoles & CLI, virtualization platforms, networking, client & server operating systems, database concepts, and the function and general IT requirements of business departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, STEM, or a related field or equivalent years of experience in the field of work required.
- 2+ years of general IT experience with a working knowledge of security concepts & frameworks required.
Scripting and/or application development experience is preferred.
