Graphic Designer - Kids (Remote - US)

We are seeking a creative and talented Graphic Designer to join a dynamic team focused on producing visually engaging content for children’s educational materials. In this role, you will collaborate closely with editors, copywriters, and senior designers to bring ideas to life across print and digital formats. You will contribute to the design of book covers, layouts, marketing materials, and other educational resources while developing your skills under the mentorship of experienced designers. This position offers the opportunity to balance creativity with practical project considerations, delivering high-quality design solutions that captivate young audiences. It is a remote role with occasional travel for team gatherings, providing both flexibility and community connection.

Accountabilities:

·         Collaborate with editors, copywriters, and other designers to understand project requirements and objectives.

·         Assist senior designers in creating high-quality print and digital materials, including book covers, interior layouts, magazines, packaging, and marketing collateral.

·         Prepare files for print and digital distribution, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.

·         Contribute to project timelines and deliverables, balancing creativity with practical considerations to meet deadlines.

·         Participate in mentorship and skill development opportunities with senior design professionals.

·         Maintain attention to detail and quality standards in all design outputs.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

·         3-5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in publishing or related industries.

·         Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

·         Strong portfolio demonstrating growth in design skills and ability to produce high-quality visual content.

·         Experience with advanced typography, print layout, and template creation for long-form publications.

·         Ability to collaborate effectively with creative teams and contribute to projects on time and within budget.

·         Active involvement in an evangelical Christian church is preferred.
