We are looking for a driven, well-connected I&C Business Development Manager with an ICP Construction background to accelerate sales growth across the UK commercial and industrial sector. This is the perfect role for someone who will thrive on expanding our industry leading grid connection solutions further into a large target market.

What you will be doing

  • Business Development & Lead Generation: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities across industrial and commercial markets.
  • Client Relationships: Build trusted relationships within the industrial and commercial market across end clients, main contractors & their consultants; winning new, repeat & referred business.
  • Sales Performance: Consistently deliver against agreed sales targets with a structured approach. Progress deals effectively from enquiry to close, ensuring client needs are met at every stage of the process.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with technical, commercial and operational colleagues and other internal teams to bring the best solutions to our clients.
  • Promote and Represent the Company: Represent eSmart Networks at marketing initiatives, trade shows and presentations to raise profile and generate future business opportunities.

What we are looking for

  • Individuals with strong ICP sales background and proven routes to market with access to senior decision‑makers across industrial and commercial developers, main contractors and consultants.
  • The ability to understand customers’ needs and leverage our wider team’s technical, operational and commercial expertise to create solutions that customers really value.
  • A high level of drive and ability to build a sales pipeline.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proactive, self-starter and results driven with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Commercially astute, balancing customer and business needs.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • High attention to detail with strong written communication and IT skills, including CRM systems.
  • Willingness to meet customers face to face and travel regularly across the UK (essential).
