Illustrator (Freelance)

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a skilled illustrator and graphic designer to join our curriculum team. In this role, you will work closely with IXL curriculum designers to create engaging images for online learning materials. #LI-REMOTE

This is a remote, 1099 consulting role for three months with a possible extension.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Create visually appealing illustrations with a stylized, graphic-novel approach for Rosetta Stone’s Foundations product
• Maintain visual consistency and ensure adherence to style guidelines
• Effectively manage multiple illustration projects under tight deadlines
• Revise images based on feedback from curriculum designers

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong craftsmanship and illustration skills with a keen eye for design
• The ability to create engaging, clean, raster images using a stylized, graphic-novel approach is a must
• The ability to create kid-friendly, flat vector artwork is a plus
• Experience as an illustrator/graphic designer for online content, preferably in an education-related field
• Proficiency with Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop (Illustrator is a plus)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly through sketches, verbal communication, and written formats
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple design requests efficiently and meet deadlines
• Experience sourcing and manipulating images from Shutterstock is a plus
• A degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or a related field is a plus

Candidates will be asked to complete their application by submitting a sample illustration. Candidates with the top illustration will be selected to move forward with the application process. If hired, you will be compensated with $250 upon delivery of each completed image.
