- Increasing user engagement through features such as subscriptions, alerts, and interactive tools
The environment includes Drupal CMS, modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js), real-time data feeds, and multiple third-party integrations. This is a mission-critical platform where performance, scalability, and seamless system connectivity are essential.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integration / API Engineer to design, develop, and manage integrations across multiple systems, APIs, and data sources. This role is critical to enabling real-time functionality and ensuring a seamless user experience across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain API integrations and data pipelines
- Integrate third-party services and real-time data feeds into the platform
- Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to ensure seamless system connectivity
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of integrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues and data inconsistencies
- Implement best practices for API security, monitoring, and documentation
Required Experience
- 5–10+ years of backend or integration development experience
- Strong experience working with RESTful APIs, web services, and data integration
- Proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., PHP, Node.js, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with complex, multi-system integrations
- Experience supporting real-time or event-driven data environments
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, preferably Drupal
- Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth, JWT, etc.)
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., government, healthcare, finance)
- Understanding of performance optimization and scalability best practices
