We are supporting a large-scale, enterprise-level digital transformation initiative focused on redesigning and modernizing a high-traffic, public-facing website platform within a highly regulated environment.

The goal is to deliver a modern, user-centric digital experience with a strong brand identity, improved navigation, and a mobile-first approach. The platform serves millions of users daily and plays a critical role in delivering real-time information and services.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Expanding flexible content capabilities
  • Strengthening SEO performance
  • Increasing user engagement through features such as subscriptions, alerts, and interactive tools

The environment includes Drupal CMS, modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js), real-time data feeds, and multiple third-party integrations. This is a mission-critical platform where performance, scalability, and seamless system connectivity are essential.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Integration / API Engineer to design, develop, and manage integrations across multiple systems, APIs, and data sources. This role is critical to enabling real-time functionality and ensuring a seamless user experience across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain API integrations and data pipelines
  • Integrate third-party services and real-time data feeds into the platform
  • Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to ensure seamless system connectivity
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of integrations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues and data inconsistencies
  • Implement best practices for API security, monitoring, and documentation

Required Experience

  • 5–10+ years of backend or integration development experience
  • Strong experience working with RESTful APIs, web services, and data integration
  • Proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., PHP, Node.js, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with complex, multi-system integrations
  • Experience supporting real-time or event-driven data environments
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, preferably Drupal
  • Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth, JWT, etc.)
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., government, healthcare, finance)
  • Understanding of performance optimization and scalability best practices
