Job Description: The IT Quality Control Analyst is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting software testing activities to ensure applications meet business requirements and quality standards. The role partners with business, operations, and technology teams to identify defects, validate enhancements, support software releases, and contribute to the successful delivery of reliable technology solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and execute test assets, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and quality metrics.
  • Perform application testing across multiple phases, including: System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing.
  • Validate system functionality against business and technical requirements.
  • Identify, document, report, and track software defects through resolution.
  • Participate in peer reviews to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness of testing artifacts.
  • Collect, prepare, and maintain test data required for validation activities.
  • Document testing results and provide clear recommendations regarding application readiness.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project teams, and end users to resolve issues and validate solutions.
  • Support software deployment and production validation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with established SDLC, testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance testing procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain testing documentation and support the reporting of quality metrics.
  • Assist in critical testing activities associated with production releases and business-driven initiatives.


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, IT Quality Control, or related technology roles.

  • Experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and Regression Testing activities.
  • Experience documenting, tracking, and validating defect resolution.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to support testing milestones, production implementations, and critical project deliverables when necessary.
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, enrollment, or other regulated environments is considered a strong asset.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of Software Testing and Quality Assurance methodologies.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience with: Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing.
Test case design, execution, and documentation.
Defect identification, tracking, and validation.
Test data preparation and validation techniques.
Experience using defect management and testing tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools.

Preferred:
  • Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar test management platforms.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and testing purposes.
  • Knowledge of production validation and software release processes.
  • Exposure to healthcare, enrollment, insurance, or highly regulated business environments.
  • Familiarity with quality metrics and testing performance reporting.
