Job Overview
We are seeking a Linux & Storage Automation Engineer with strong experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, Ansible automation, storage operations, and infrastructure automation. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining repeatable automation workflows that support server build-outs, configuration management, patching, remediation, storage administration, and operational efficiency within production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Ansible roles, playbooks, and job templates using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to automate server provisioning, configuration, patching, remediation, and maintenance activities.

• Administer and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, including package and repository management, systemd services, kernel and boot issues, and operating system health.

• Develop Bash scripts and automation workflows to streamline Linux administration, storage operations, and production support tasks.

• Support storage and filesystem administration activities, including disk issue remediation, capacity management, filesystem configuration, and routine health checks.

• Build automation that supports cloud-hosted server lifecycle activities, including starting, stopping, and managing AWS or Azure resources as part of patching and maintenance workflows.

• Apply CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code principles to manage infrastructure and configuration through version-controlled code and automated delivery pipelines.

• Develop repeatable and validated workflows that support database integration, data migration, and identity and access management requirements.

• Integrate automation solutions with existing operational tooling, monitoring platforms, scheduling systems, security controls, and change management processes.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, including writing and maintaining roles, playbooks, and job templates in production environments.

• Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration background, including package and repository management, systemd, and kernel or boot troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in Bash scripting for Linux automation tasks.

• Experience with storage and filesystem administration, including disk remediation, capacity management, filesystem configuration, and health checks.

• General knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms, including instance and resource lifecycle management.

• Understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code or Everything-as-Code principles, including version-controlled infrastructure and automated pipelines.

• Understanding of database integration, data migration concepts, and identity and access management principles.

• Experience integrating automation with operational tooling, monitoring, scheduling, security controls, and change management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Python scripting experience for automation tooling beyond basic playbook development.

• Knowledge of REST API integration patterns, including authentication, JSON data exchange, and webhook-driven workflows.

• Understanding of event-driven automation concepts, including trigger-based workflows and rule-based activations.

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring principles, including log aggregation and alerting.
