Role Summary:
The OAC Developer & Administrator will play a key role in the organization’s transition from Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) to Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). This individual will be responsible for developing analytics content in OAC—including reports, dashboards, and data models—while also administering and maintaining the OAC environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience performing OAS-to-OAC migrations, including working with RPD models, BAR files, and semantic model conversions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, analyses, and data visualizations in Oracle Analytics Cloud.
  • Administer OAC, including user provisioning, application configuration, performance monitoring, and security management.
  • Support and execute the migration from OAS to OAC, including:
    • Exporting OAS RPD into BAR files
    • Importing BAR files into OAC to create/maintain the semantic model
    • Validating and remediating semantic model changes post-migration
  • Troubleshoot data model, performance, and access issues across the OAC environment.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to ensure analytics solutions meet project objectives.
  • Document technical processes, semantic model changes, and migration procedures for long-term supportability.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience developing analytics content using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or Oracle Analytics Server (OAS).
  • Hands-on experience exporting RPDs to BAR files and importing BAR packages into OAC.
  • Strong understanding of OAC semantic models, including subject areas, joins, hierarchies, and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with OAC administration, including user/role management, application configuration, and environment monitoring.
  • Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational data structures.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), particularly analytics-related services.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integration (ODI), Oracle Data Integrator Cloud (ODI C), Oracle Data Integration Platform Cloud, or comparable ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization, performance tuning, and working with complex data models.
  • Prior involvement in full lifecycle migrations from OAS to OAC.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern cloud-based data pipelines
