Who We Are Advantage is redefining what it means to be a pharmacy for people with serious behavioral health conditions. We specialize in serving patients with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and related challenges—patients who are often overlooked by traditional healthcare systems. We provide advanced pharmacy services and wraparound care that ensure patients can access and stay on complex medications. We offer in-home and community-based injection support, help patients navigate insurance and prior authorizations, and work closely with providers to overcome barriers to treatment. By strengthening connections between patients, care teams, and support systems, we make it possible for people living with behavioral health challenges to achieve stability and long-term success.

Job Overview: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Technology, the Pharmacy Applications Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day technical administration, configuration, support, and optimization of the pharmacy applications that enable delivery, inventory, billing, and related operational workflows. This role serves as a hands-on system administrator for key platforms, including DigitalRx, Platform, SureCost, and RxBB, with responsibility for technical and integration architecture, APIs, interfaces, data flows, user access, patching, upgrades, testing, documentation, and Tier 2/3 support. The administrator partners with pharmacy operations, compliance, technology teams, vendors, and the Help Desk to maintain reliable, secure, integrated, and scalable application services and enable effective Tier 1 support.

This role sits within the Technology organization and partners closely with pharmacy operations (delivery, inventory, billing) and compliance teams to support the systems that enable behavioral health pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:

·        Administer and support pharmacy, delivery, inventory, billing, and related pharmacy management systems that enable Advantage’s behavioral health pharmacy operations.

·        Own and maintain the technical architecture of key clinical and pharmacy systems, including DigitalRx, SureCost, Platform, and RxBB, with a clear understanding of how applications connect, exchange data, and support end-to-end pharmacy workflows.

·        Design, document, administer, and troubleshoot integration architecture, including APIs, interfaces, file transfers, data mappings, system dependencies, and data flows between pharmacy applications, internal platforms, and external partners.

·        Analyze pharmacy, delivery, inventory, billing, and operational workflows; gather user requirements; and implement scalable process improvements that enhance efficiency, adoption, documentation quality, and patient care support.

·        Design, maintain, and update reports, dashboards, templates, forms, and electronic records that support data-driven decision-making across operational, billing, and compliance functions.

·        Provide Tier 2/3 application and integration support; train Help Desk staff to perform Tier 1 support; and create, maintain, and communicate Tier 1 technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, escalation criteria, and knowledge articles for common pharmacy application issues.

·        Perform ongoing technical administration, monitoring, configuration, patching, upgrades, release validation, maintenance, and Tier 2/3 troubleshooting; coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve incidents, problems, defects, and integration failures through completion.

·        Administer electronic prescribing access, user accounts, roles, permissions, system setup, templates, and documentation workflows required for clinical documentation compliance.

·        Support business growth and expansion by configuring systems for new facilities, programs, and operational initiatives while maintaining consistent data standards and scalable application practices.

·        Guide pharmacy users on recordkeeping, behavioral health data standards, application workflows, and related training needs.

·        Support mergers, acquisitions, pharmacy transitions, and system consolidations by planning and executing data conversions, developing source-to-target mappings, validating migrated data for completeness and accuracy, reconciling records across systems, documenting exceptions, and coordinating remediation with business owners, vendors, and technology teams.

·        Contribute to data-driven projects that inform strategic planning, clinical program development, operational performance, and compliance readiness.

·        Travel to facility sites as needed to support go-lives, training, system support, and optimization activities.

·        Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

·        Exceptional flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to learn new clinical, pharmacy, billing, and operational systems quickly.

·        Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting abilities, with attention to accuracy, consistency, and follow-through.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to gather, organize, and interpret information to resolve system, workflow, and process issues.

·        Effective communicator who can deliver clear, practical, and impactful updates, training, and guidance to employees and stakeholders across all organizational levels.

·        Collaborative team player who builds trust, fosters a positive work environment, and partners effectively with clinical, operational, billing, compliance, technology, and vendor teams.

·        Self-motivated and highly productive, with the initiative to take ownership of assigned projects, service requests, system improvements, and process follow-up.

·        Skilled in building and maintaining strong working relationships with vendors, internal team members, facility leaders, and end users.

·        Customer-service oriented, with a commitment to responsive support, user adoption, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

·        Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing needs, and maintain quality in a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment.

Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree in healthcare systems, healthcare administration, information systems, technology, or a related field preferred.

·        5+ years of experience supporting clinical systems, pharmacy technology, pharmacy applications, or related operational platforms in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.

·        Minimum of 2 years’ experience in specialty pharmacy operations, including DigitalRx systems administration, reporting, workflow support, and integrations required.

·        Experience configuring, supporting, or optimizing systems used for pharmacy documentation, onboarding/offboarding, care coordination, billing, e-prescribing, reporting, or compliance workflows preferred.

·        Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

·        Strong independent thinking and sound judgment, with the ability to analyze issues, recommend solutions, and present complex information clearly and persuasively.

·        Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical terms for non-technical stakeholders.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear, concise, and timely updates on critical issues.

·        Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships with internal teams, facility leaders, vendors, and end users.
