Power BI Engineer - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

We are looking to hire a Power BI Engineer to join a global leader in ultra-low temperature cryogenic systems, enabling cutting-edge research in quantum computing and advanced scientific applications. You will take ownership of the end-to-end BI lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery of scalable dashboards and insights, working closely with global stakeholders. The role combines hands-on Power BI development, data modeling, and SQL expertise with a strong focus on transforming complex data into actionable business value.

Key Responsibilities  

• Support the development and maintenance of BI solutions using Power BI 

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions 

• Build dashboards and reports using data from SQL Server, Salesforce, and other data sources 

• Assist in maintaining structured data models using fact and dimension tables 

• Validate data and support the investigation of discrepancies 

• Manage Power BI Service activities such as data refreshes, access management, and workspace administration 

• Provide end-user support and maintain clear documentation 

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including report building and data visualization 

• Good understanding of DAX, Power Query, and core data modeling principles 

• Solid SQL skills, including writing and optimizing queries in T-SQL 

• Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes 

• Experience working with multiple data sources 

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders 

• Excellent spoken and written English language skills 

A significant advantage would be 

• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms 

• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake 

• Experience working with APIs, Python, or automation tools 

• Understanding of CI/CD practices
