Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI / SQL / Python Developer to support data analytics, reporting, and automation initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and alignment with Pacific Standard Time (PST) working hours.
The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in Power BI, solid programming and data fundamentals, and hands-on experience with ETL pipelines and cloud-based data workflows. A proactive mindset toward automation and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Build and support ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and preparation
- Write and maintain Python scripts for data processing and automation
- Develop, optimize, and manage SQL queries for analytics and reporting
- Work with cloud-based data services and data staging workflows
- Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and present insights effectively
- Support analytics and automation (including agentic workflows) initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, and visualization design)
- Solid programming and data fundamentals, including:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python)
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools, including:
- Python scripting
- SQL
- AWS Athena
- AWS Glue
- Amazon S3 for data staging
- Experience working with both structured and semi-structured data
- Ability to work independently in a remote/offshore environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Power Automate
- Exposure to or strong interest in automation and agentic workflows
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics programs (e.g., utilities or regulated industries)
