AS PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION INTERN, YOU WILL:  

• With ABC Data Protection and Compliance Leadership, work with business lines on specific projects related to Privacy Operations, Data Protection Operations, and leveraging governance tools to track data and assets. 

• Learn how to implement and enforce policy using Data Management tools. 

• Gain an understanding of data protection concepts in a multi-national corporation. 

• Participate in Data Protection, Legal and business meetings. 

• Research, draft policy and procedures, and prepare PowerPoint presentations related to Privacy research and related projects as requested. 

• Work with Manager to ensure that all expectations and goals are being met. Ask questions as needed. 

• Complete all projects in a timely manner. 

• Comply with all ABC policies and procedures. 

• Make Final Presentation during Program Wrap-Up. 

• Provide feedback on the program and offer suggestions for improvement. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:  

• Pursuing a degree in Legal Studies with a focus on Privacy, Risk Management, Information Assurance (Cybersecurity, Privacy, Governance), Computer Science, Information Security, Information Science, Public Policy, Privacy Engineering, or Business Analytics 

• Must possess excellent research and writing skills. 

• Intellectually curious and interested in software, fitness and/or financial services 

• Must be interested in working in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment with professionals from multiple disciplines 

• Ability to work in a collaborative manner both within and outside the Privacy and Data Protection Department is critical to success. 

• Must be able to work independently, though support will be provided 

• A demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment. 

• Ability to research and learn new concepts and legal issues quickly to facilitate problem solving. 

• Completed sophomore year of college.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay for U.S. based candidates for this position is $25.00 USD hourly. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions.
