The Proposal Writer assists in all aspects of quote, budget, and proposal generation. We are looking for candidates who have experience in a corporate GxP setting. This role is not lab-based, but our best candidates have regulated laboratory experience and scientific familiarity with the types of assays we do here. You are self-motivated, an independent thinker, and highly detail oriented.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Generates draft proposals and budgets for self-selected or assigned opportunities, while understanding and adhering to company proposal and pricing processes.
- Reviews new quote requests and collaborates with the appropriate stakeholders to obtain any missing information required to properly define scope.
- Interfaces with departments such as Business Development, Scientific Office, and Operations to compile high-quality and accurate proposals.
- Ensures timely delivery of assigned proposals to clients.
- Revises quotes as directed.
- Estimates costs and labor needs during the budget generation process.
- Maintains appropriate knowledge of the current scientific and regulatory environments.
- Assists with peer review process under direction of management.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to successfully interact with key internal stakeholders and clients under time constraints.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Ability to understand pricing models.
- Superior attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects/tasks while still delivering high quality results.
- Ability to work closely within a trusted team environment where sharing and teamwork are valued.
Minimum Preferred Qualifications - Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field.
Not less than one (1) years' experience in a regulated GxP scientific environment, including direct laboratory experience.
Knowledge base in science including the relevant regulations for our industry.

- Not less than three (3) years' experience in a regulated GxP scientific environment, including a combination of direct laboratory or support experience.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position
- The employee must be available during the “core” work hours as published in the BioAgilytix Employee Handbook
- Occasional weekend, holiday, and evening work required
$70,000 - $90,000 a year
In alignment with our compensation philosophy and recruiting governance practices, the salary range for this role represents a good faith estimate of the base compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Individual offers are determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate’s experience, technical expertise, scope alignment, and internal equity considerations, as well as market data and geographic factors where applicable. As a result, final compensation may fall within or outside of the posted range and will be determined in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws.
