Relay Engineer Testing and commissioning Engineers

This is a remote position.<\/p>

We are looking for a skilled Relay Engineer with hands\-on experience in protection relay systems and switchgear testing to support power and industrial projects across India. The role involves configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning various protection relays to ensure system reliability and operational safety. The ideal candidate will play a key role in validating protection schemes, checking system interlocks, and supporting the installation and commissioning of electrical protection equipment in the field.

Key Skills and Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/h3>

• Configure, test, and troubleshoot Schneider P3, Micom, and Siemens Siprotec 5 series protection relays
  <\/p><\/li>

• Perform logic checking and modifications in Easergy P3, Micom (P643), and Siprotec 7SD82 relays
  <\/p><\/li>

• Conduct line and transformer differential protection testing and REF protection checks
  <\/p><\/li>

• Verify zone and out\-zone protection stability during relay testing
  <\/p><\/li>

• Execute ATS and momentary parallel logic validation
  <\/p><\/li>

• Check upstream and downstream interlocks and system interconnections
  <\/p><\/li>

• Witness CT, PT, VCB, and ACB testing and recommend corrective actions when required
  <\/p><\/li>

• Troubleshoot VCB breaker mechanisms and related components
  <\/p><\/li>

• Configure LTMR Tesys\-T relays and implement motor auto re\-acceleration schemes
  <\/p><\/li>

• Inspect switchgear installations and provide recommendations for corrections or improvements
  <\/p><\/li>

• Ensure proper documentation of testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
  <\/p><\/li> <\/ul>

  Key Qualifications<\/b>
  <\/h3>

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field
    <\/p><\/li>

  • 2–5 years of hands\-on experience in protection relay configuration, testing, and commissioning
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Strong understanding of differential protection, motor protection, and relay logic schemes
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Experience in relay programming and logic modification across multiple relay platforms
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Good knowledge of switchgear systems, interlocks, and breaker mechanisms
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem\-solving abilities
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Willingness to travel across project sites within India
