Job Description

OGT is striking forward on a bold mission to double its sales and revenues in the next 2 years. OGT is seeking an innovative and driven Sales Engineer to sell new SaaS licensing of OGT’s commercial products, ProTreat and SulphurPro. 

You will join a small, high-impact Sales Team of 3 during a period of significant product momentum. You will have exciting new products to sell, including an interim software release coming in April 2026 and a major new software release anticipated at the end of 2026.

The desired candidate will live and work in the United States from their home office. This is a high-growth, hunter role backed by unlimited earning potential. With a Stretch Target Earnings of $240K, this position is directly tied to the success of OGT’s mission to double sales in the next two years. A comprehensive compensation plan will be provided to shortlisted candidates.

This is a pivotal, sales-first leadership opportunity to define the future of OGT's commercial strategy. We are seeking a candidate who will not only drive revenue but also introduce new sales best practices and methodology to modernize our approach. For the right performer, this role is a stepping stone with an opportunity to take leadership of the Sales Team and transition into a Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the full sales cycle, demonstrating expertise in prospecting, pipeline management, nurturing leads, and closing complex technology sales.
  • Drive new sales through meeting with existing and potential clients either in person or through online platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
  • Grow and maintain the opportunity pipeline for the assigned geographic region, which includes North America and international regions like Europe, Asia, and South America.
  • Attend relevant conferences to network with existing and potential clients and travel to client sites as needed to close sales.
  • Understand and communicate industry needs to OGT’s management and technical development team.
  • Effectively use CRM (Salesforce) to collate communications and activity and collaborate with your team.
     

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering (or other Bachelors with relevant experience in technical sales).
  • 5+ years in technical sales, with preference for experience selling SaaS solutions in the chemical, electrical, energy and related sectors.
  • Strong networking and rapport building skills to build and maintain relationships with peers, clientele, and business partners.
  • Record of success increasing sales by 25 - 50% and surpassing quota or on-target earnings.
  • The ideal candidate thrives in a high-autonomy, tight-knit, small company culture.
  • Success requires a proactive, 'get-it-done' mindset, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to technical collaboration and knowledge sharing with our engineering team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel, including international, 25-30%.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
