Overview
The Salesforce Business Analyst will be responsible for translating business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions that optimize the marketing, enrollment, and student support lifecycles. This position will primarily focus on gathering business requirements, configuring Salesforce applications, and partnering with technical teams to deliver user-centered solutions while ensuring business processes align with organizational goals to fulfill our mission of empowering families and unleashing potential.
Essential Duties

Business Analysis and Solution Design
- Lead discovery sessions and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business needs, document requirements, and improve operational processes.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, workflow diagrams, and acceptance criteria for technical development teams.
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend Salesforce solutions that improve efficiency, user experience, and organizational outcomes.

Salesforce Configuration and Optimization
- Configure, optimize, and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud to support marketing, enrollment, and student support operations.
- Build and maintain declarative Salesforce solutions, including page layouts, flows, validation rules, custom objects, reports, dashboards, and user permissions.
- Partner with technical teams to support system enhancements, releases, and cross-platform initiatives while ensuring Salesforce solutions align with business requirements.

Testing, Reporting and User Enablement
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), validate system enhancements, and ensure solutions meet documented business requirements prior to deployment.
- Partner with operational leaders to develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs that support data-driven decision-making across marketing, enrollment, and student support functions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and end-user training materials that promote successful adoption of Salesforce enhancements.
- You will play a key role in our collective success by proactively pivoting to support emerging business needs and strategic priorities directed by your manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Salesforce Administrator, or similar role, preferably in a remote environment.
- 3 years of experience working within K–12 education, virtual education, higher education, or education technology environments, with a strong understanding of student lifecycle processes (enrollment, attendance, support ticketing).
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity.
- Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
- Strong experience configuring Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud using declarative tools such as Flows, page layouts, validation rules, custom objects, reports, dashboards, and permission management.
- Experience gathering business requirements, facilitating stakeholder meetings, documenting functional specifications, and translating business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), change management, documentation, and end-user training initiatives.
- Knowledge of Salesforce reporting, dashboards, data management best practices, and CRM business processes.

Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Education Technology, or a related field highly preferred.
- Active Salesforce Certifications (Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Business Analyst, Marketing Cloud Consultant, or Service Cloud Consultant) highly preferred.
