The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce platform expertise with enterprise integration experience and strong DevOps discipline.

Responsibilities

Technical Strategy & Roadmap

  • Platform Vision: Define and execute a technical roadmap for Salesforce that prioritizes scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Technical Debt Management: Balance the delivery of new features with the necessity of reducing technical debt and maintaining Salesforce "Org Health."
  • Feasibility Analysis: Evaluate third-party AppExchange packages and native Salesforce features to determine the best "build vs. buy" path.

2. Product Delivery & Backlog Management

  • Technical Requirements: Write detailed technical user stories, including API specifications, data mapping, and security requirements.
  • Backlog Refinement: Lead grooming sessions to ensure the engineering team understands the "why" and "how" of every story.
  • Sprint Execution: Partner with Scrum Masters and Developers to remove technical blockers and ensure high-quality deployments.

3. Integration & Data Architecture

  • Ecosystem Alignment: Oversee integrations between Salesforce and internal Ford systems (e.g., ERP, Data Lakes, Identity Management) using MuleSoft or other middleware.
  • Data Integrity: Define data governance standards within Salesforce to ensure a "Single Source of Truth" for customer data.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all technical solutions meet Ford’s Cyber Security, Privacy, and Legal standards.

4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Translation: Translate complex technical constraints into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Salesforce Partnership: Stay abreast of Salesforce’s three-times-a-year release cycle to proactively identify new features that can be leveraged.
  • Collaboration: Work with Architects to ensure the CRM strategy aligns with the broader Enterprise Architecture.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in Product Management or Technical Leadership, with at least 3 years specifically focused on the Salesforce platform.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL).
    • Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration patterns.
    • Proficiency in Jira/Confluence and Agile methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to use data (SQL, Tableau, or Salesforce Reports) to drive product decisions.
