Salesforce Data / ETL Developer Fully Remote (Onshore US) Contract Compensation: $75 - $100/hr (DOE) ABOUT THE ROLE Our leading federal integrator partner is supporting an active government contract to implement and support a Salesforce participant engagement platform. This role is ideal for a Salesforce data professional who understands the nuances of the platform's data model, can manage large data volumes end-to-end, and is comfortable operating in a high-pressure, multi-vendor environment where PHI/PII sensitivity and data governance are non-negotiable. As the Data/ETL Developer, you will triage data issues independently, build remediation plans, and work across internal teams and external vendors to keep the platform's data clean, compliant, and reliable. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Manage large-scale, end-to-end Salesforce data operations-including data loads, transformations, validations, and remediation-using Salesforce CLI and approved platform tooling.
  • Triage and resolve data integrity issues independently, developing and executing remediation plans in a multi-vendor, high-volatility environment.
  • Utilize MuleSoft as the ETL engine to stage, sequence, and load data across integrated systems, including DRC and other research platform vendors.
  • Leverage CRM Analytics and Data 360 to conduct data quality reviews, partner with analytics teams on reporting, and monitor data health.
  • Write and maintain Apex scripts to support custom data operations where declarative tooling is insufficient.
  • Operate with strict PHI/PII awareness-no external CSV downloads or unapproved tooling; ensure all data handling meets federal data sensitivity and governance standards.
  • Engage professionally with client stakeholders and their downstream partners, clearly and confidently representing the team's data work.
WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce data tools: Salesforce CLI, Data Loader, Bulk API, and SOQL for large-volume operations.
  • Proficiency with MuleSoft as an ETL engine, including data staging, mashups, and load sequencing.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM Analytics and Data 360 for data quality and analytics support.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot Apex scripts for custom data processing logic.
  • PHI/PII awareness and experience operating within data-sensitive, federally regulated environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills-able to interface professionally with clients, vendors, and federal agency contacts.
  • Must be onshore in the United States; U.S. citizenship not required-H-1B visa holders accepted.
  • Nice to Have: Prior experience supporting federal health research programs or federal health research projects.
  • Familiarity with DRC (Data and Research Center) systems or similar research data infrastructure.
  • Experience working in multi-vendor delivery environments with strict data governance requirements.
