Our team is part of the Enterprise Security Engineering (ESG) organization and the AI Engineering group. We build microsegmentation capabilities that control and limit how systems communicate within our customers' environments, helping prevent attacks from spreading inside the network. In addition to developing core product capabilities, our team is responsible for driving innovation, proposing initiatives, and building AI-powered solutions that are deployed in real production systems.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize large-scale, distributed solutions. You'll work on new features from idea to production and solve complex engineering problems in a highly collaborative environment.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with stakeholders from across the organization
• Overseeing the development of features from design to implementation
• Breaking down large features into incremental deliverables, driving both execution and vision
• Serving as a role model for other engineers by developing high-quality code
• Balancing hands-on engineering with technical leadership through design/code reviews and mentoring
• Leveraging AI and modern engineering practices to accelerate the pace of development

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Demonstrate extensive backend engineering expertise using Python.
• Design and maintain production-grade services within distributed environments to ensure reliability, scalability, and optimal performance.
• Work with Python, Kubernetes, SQL, NoSQL databases, and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines effectively and efficiently.
• Decompose complex tasks into clear, actionable steps while ensuring clarity and precision in defining work items.
• Demonstrate technical expertise while maintaining a strategic perspective to effectively address complex challenges and drive impactful outcomes.
• Build applications using Rust; experience in this area is a valuable addition to the role.
