About The Role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team. The role covers the full scope of day-to-day infrastructure operations – Kubernetes, CI/CD, databases, observability, and networking – while also contributing to a new direction we are actively building: AI Operations. You will work in a real production environment of a growing fintech company.
AI Operations does not mean adding an LLM plugin to a pipeline. It means thoughtfully automating what is currently done by hand: infrastructure change reviews, runbook generation, anomaly detection in deployments, and tooling for the AI services our product teams are building.
Tech Stack: AWS · GCP · Terraform · Kubernetes · EKS · Karpenter · Helm · GitLab CI/CD · ArgoCD · VictoriaMetrics · Grafana · Prometheus · ELK / OpenSearch · Jaeger · Istio · PostgreSQL / Aurora · Redis · MongoDB · Kafka · Python · Go · Bash · Ansible · Cloudflare.
Your Mission
Kubernetes & Platform
- Maintain and upgrade Managed EKS clusters, develop and maintain Helm charts, CRDs, and Kubernetes operators.
- Administer Istio service mesh and participate in resilience testing, including chaos tests as part of DORA compliance.
CI/CD & Automation
- Own and develop CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and manage GitOps workflows via ArgoCD.
- Write automation and tooling in Python, Go, and Bash.
Reliability & Observability
- Operate AWS Aurora PostgreSQL/RDS, AWS Managed Redis, Atlas MongoDB, and Kafka clusters, with monitoring, tested backup strategies, and documented recovery procedures.
- Maintain the observability stack — VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Prometheus, centralized logging via ELK/OpenSearch, and distributed tracing (Jaeger, APM, OpenTelemetry).
AI Operations
- Integrate LLM-based tooling into CI/CD for automated review of infrastructure changes, runbook generation, and deployment anomaly detection.
- Build and support infrastructure for internal AI services and agent workflows, including management of LLM gateways, model proxies, and cost allocation across teams.
About Vivid
At Vivid, we're on a mission to change how businesses and individuals manage their money across Europe. For businesses, we build tools that actually make a difference: multi-IBAN accounts, high-yield savings, business cashback, team cards, and accounting integrations that save real time — all in one place. And for individuals, we offer a simple way to manage and grow your wealth: access to global stocks, ETFs and 150+ cryptocurrencies, cashback, and personalised financial insights.
Our mission? Your success. Everyone deserves the chance to see their finances flourish, and we're dedicated to empowering our customers to make this a reality.
Founded in 2019 in Berlin by Alexander Emeshev and Artem Iamanov, Vivid has quickly grown into one of Germany's top financial platforms for SMEs and private accounts. Since then, we've expanded rapidly across Europe, earning the trust of over 500,000 customers — and with over €200 million raised and a valuation of €775 million, we're just getting started.
We're building Vivid as an AI-native organization — across every function, from product to compliance to operations. Automation handles a growing share of day-to-day execution. For us, this means our teams can focus on architecture, strategy, and high-impact decision-making. This changes how we work: less manual execution, more ownership in building systems that scale. We want to help define what AI-native looks like in a regulated financial environment — and we're looking for people who want to build that future with us.
