You will translate business needs into scalable workflows, automation, integrations, and reporting solutions that improve efficiency and user experiences.
The position combines systems administration, data governance, vendor management, troubleshooting, and cross-functional partnership.
Success will depend on your ability to think holistically across platforms while remaining comfortable with hands-on execution and day-to-day problem solving.
This is an opportunity to help shape a technology environment where reliable systems and actionable data directly support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary functional owner and strategic administrator for Salesforce and related membership and business systems, managing access, security, permissions, workflows, automation, objects, reporting, dashboards, and data quality.
  • Maintain and continuously improve CRM architecture, operational workflows, member lifecycle processes, documentation, and system procedures.
  • Oversee and coordinate integrations between Salesforce and connected platforms, including event, marketing, website, finance, learning, and member-facing systems.
  • Partner with internal system owners, vendors, and technical resources to improve interoperability, automation, and data flows across platforms.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integration failures, synchronization issues, workflow bottlenecks, and other business systems problems.
  • Support API-based integrations and middleware solutions where appropriate while helping establish strong data governance, consistency, and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards, reports, segmentation, and analytics supporting membership, events, sponsorship, marketing, education, finance, and executive decision-making.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable reporting, data, workflow, and technology solutions that address operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation, improved workflows, system integration, and thoughtful process redesign.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to assess business needs, prioritize initiatives, coordinate system changes, and support testing, deployment, and change management.
  • Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to staff using CRM and other business applications.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and technical resources, translating technical concepts and system impacts into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Manage relationships with CRM, integration, and operational technology vendors and consultants, including scopes of work, implementation plans, timelines, testing, issue resolution, and delivery quality.
  • Evaluate vendor recommendations and determine when work should be completed internally, delegated externally, or redesigned to create simpler and more sustainable solutions.
  • Support long-term improvements in operational efficiency, data quality, system reliability, and cross-functional technology adoption.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience administering Salesforce or comparable CRM and business systems.
  • Strong understanding of CRM data structures, workflows, automation, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating integrations between SaaS business platforms.
  • Experience working with external vendors, consultants, implementation partners, or technology service providers.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic systems thinking with hands-on administration and execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts, system impacts, and tradeoffs into practical guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple departments, systems, vendors, and business initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, governance, reporting, and operational efficiency principles.
  • Comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes and systems may require continuous improvement and refinement.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification is preferred.
  • Experience with association management systems, membership organizations, nonprofit operations, or event technology is preferred.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as HubSpot, Cvent, Sitecore, learning management systems, and financial system integrations is a plus.
  • Experience with middleware, APIs, business intelligence tools, reporting strategy, or systems architecture documentation is advantageous.
  • A pragmatic, collaborative, outcome-oriented mindset with the ability to build trust across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Competitive full-time benefits package.
  • Eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of a broad CRM and business systems ecosystem with significant organizational impact.
  • Cross-functional exposure across membership, events, finance, marketing, education, sponsorship, and technology.
  • Opportunity to lead systems modernization, automation, integration, reporting, and operational improvement initiatives.
