Position Summary:
As the Senior Salesforce Technical Architect, you will own the end-to-end architecture, performance, security, and scalability of our Salesforce platform. This role is critical in ensuring technical excellence while enabling the delivery of seamless, data-driven customer experiences across the organization.
You will serve as the strategic and hands-on technical leader for Salesforce, combining deep platform expertise with strong architectural judgment to guide complex implementations and platform evolution. Partnering closely with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, Data and Technology, you will translate business vision into scalable, future-ready solutions.
This role presents a unique opportunity to shape and mature our Salesforce ecosystem, establishing best practices, governance models, and a long-term technical roadmap. You will provide architectural oversight to both internal teams and external implementation partners, including Salesforce, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives.
Reporting to Director of Commercial Technology, you will play a key role in advancing our customer experience strategy and enabling sustainable growth through a resilient and modern technology foundation.
Position Responsibilities:
Architecture & Strategy
Define and lead the overall Salesforce architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Establish reference architectures, design patterns, and platform standards.
Own the technical roadmap aligned with business and customer experience objectives.
Solution Design & Delivery
Lead discovery, solution design, and technical architecture for complex initiatives.
Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions.
Aligning business needs with Salesforce capabilities and emerging platform features.
Platform Ownership & Governance
Act as the primary technical authority for the Salesforce platform across the organization.
Define and enforce governance, security, and data management best practices.
Maintain architecture artifacts, system diagrams, and documentation for current and future states.
Integration & Data Architecture
Design and oversee integrations across Salesforce, internal systems, and third-party platforms.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance across systems.
Define enterprise data models and data flow strategies.
Delivery Oversight & Leadership
Provide hands-on guidance to development teams (Apex, LWC, integrations, automation).
Oversee implementation quality, code reviews, and release processes.
Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery.
Platform Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and user experience.
Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Drive adoption of new Salesforce features and capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
8–10+ years of experience in enterprise solution architecture, with at least 5+ years focused on Salesforce
Proven experience architecting large-scale, integrated Salesforce solutions (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
Deep expertise in:
Apex, SOQL, Triggers
Lightning Web Components (LWC)
Flow and platform automation
Strong experience with integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, Kafka, Mulesoft etc.)
Expertise in Salesforce data architecture, security model, and governance
Experience leading full lifecycle implementations (design → build → deploy → optimize)
Experience with Event-Driven architecture and B2C commerce
Experience with connecting marketing, sales, service, and e-commerce experiences
Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and release management best practices
Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong architectural thinking with the ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term scalability
Deep understanding of enterprise integration, data strategy, and system design
Ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with Salesforce releases and ecosystem advancements
Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360)
Experience designing unified customer data models and identity resolution strategies
Real-time data ingestion, segmentation, and activation across Salesforce ecosystem
Enabling data-driven personalization and analytics
AI, Agentforce & Intelligent Automation
Experience implementing Agentforce, Einstein AI, or generative AI capabilities within Salesforce
Designing AI-powered workflows, copilots, and automation
Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI governance, and responsible AI practices
Certifications
