This is a remote position.

Join a team building the Clinical Data Layer, a cloud-native platform that transforms and standardizes clinical trial data into the CDISC SDTM model used for regulatory submissions and clinical research.

You'll develop both backend and frontend components of a modern AWS-based platform, designing scalable data pipelines, APIs, and analyst-facing applications. This role combines cloud engineering, backend development, infrastructure automation, and modern frontend technologies.

The platform directly supports clinical trial analysis, drug development, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and extend cloud-native clinical data transformation pipelines
  
• Develop Python services running on AWS Lambda
  
• Build workflows using AWS Step Functions
  
• Develop GraphQL APIs with AWS AppSync
  
• Contribute to the React + TypeScript frontend
  
• Design scalable event-driven distributed systems
  
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform
  
• Develop large-scale data processing solutions with Databricks
  
• Participate in architecture design and technical discussions
  
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers
  
• Improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  
• Troubleshoot production issues across AWS services
  
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code
