Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce Platform
Bethesda, MD - Remote
12-month Contract
Seeking for a Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer to lead design, architecture, and custom development in a large-scale Salesforce environment using modern web practices. Collaborate with various teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing platform solutions.
Core Work Activities:
- Lead Salesforce platform design and custom development using Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
- Act as a technical architect and hands-on Salesforce developer to solve complex platform challenges.
- Design technical architecture solutions that integrate Salesforce with internal systems, focusing on security, scalability, and performance.
- Make informed architectural decisions by evaluating tradeoffs, benefits, risks, and recommendations.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases and guide the team on new features and implementation opportunities.
- Drive UX and design strategies to improve platform adoption and user experience.
- Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop and manage off-platform automation scripts using Python or similar tools.
- Support security efforts by reviewing Salesforce Shield event logs and monitoring data.
- Champion engineering best practices for reusable, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Mentor team members through code reviews and constructive feedback.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years of professional software development experience with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- At least 6 years of experience designing and developing highly customized Salesforce applications using Lightning Web Components or Aura Components.
Preferred:
- Experience with user behavior analysis monitoring, scripting, and alerting.
- Experience with DevOps processes; GitHub and Harness experience is a plus.
- High proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or similar development tools.
- Solid understanding of REST, GraphQL, and application observability using tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.
