This is a senior, hands-on Salesforce engineering role focused on delivering Health Cloud capabilities in an AI-first development environment.
You will build and ship business-critical features using Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flow, and modern integration patterns.
The role combines deep Salesforce expertise with AI-assisted development through tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.
You will also integrate AI-powered agents into Salesforce workflows while ensuring enterprise-grade security, quality, and reliability.
Working closely with AI engineering, integration, and delivery teams, you will help accelerate development without compromising engineering standards.
The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and healthcare-focused, with particular attention to PHI/HIPAA requirements.
Success means delivering roadmap features faster, integrating reusable AI capabilities, and establishing a higher standard for AI-augmented Salesforce development.
Accountabilities:
- Salesforce development: Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce Health Cloud features using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Flow in line with the product roadmap.
- Integrations: Build and maintain Salesforce integrations using REST APIs, Platform Events, and external services while coordinating closely with integration specialists.
- AI-first development: Use AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar solutions as part of the core daily development workflow.
- AI-assisted testing: Apply test-first development practices by using AI to generate unit tests and improve Apex test coverage, while independently validating all generated output.
- AI agent integration: Consume and integrate reusable AI agents into Salesforce workflows, including capabilities supporting intake automation, missing-information workflows, reporting, and workload intelligence.
- Code quality and governance: Review AI-generated code critically, ensuring all implementations meet established engineering, security, and quality standards before deployment.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with AI engineering and integration teams to expose Salesforce data and actions safely to AI agents and contribute to the development of reusable AI patterns.
- Continuous improvement: Participate in code reviews, contribute reusable prompts and development patterns, and provide feedback that improves AI-assisted workflows and engineering practices.
- Delivery: Manage sprint commitments in a fast-moving, parallel-track environment while maintaining delivery quality despite compressed timelines.
- Healthcare compliance: Apply appropriate PHI/HIPAA handling practices across Salesforce development, integrations, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Success measures: Consistently deliver roadmap features at AI-accelerated velocity targets, demonstrate effective adoption of AI development tooling, and successfully integrate priority AI agents into Salesforce workflows.
Requirements
- Salesforce experience: 5+ years of professional Salesforce development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Apex, LWC, and SOQL.
- Health Cloud: Experience working with Salesforce Health Cloud or a comparable Salesforce industry cloud.

- AI-assisted development: Demonstrated experience using, or strong readiness to adopt, AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Einstein for Developers.
- Prompt engineering: Understanding of prompt engineering for software development and the ability to critically evaluate, test, and refine AI-generated code.
- Engineering quality: Strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices, testing, code review, debugging, and deployment processes.
- Delivery mindset: Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with compressed timelines, multiple priorities, and parallel delivery tracks.
- Healthcare technology: Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or patient services is an advantage, particularly where sensitive data and regulatory requirements are involved.
- AI/LLM exposure: Familiarity with AI agents, RAG, LLM-based workflows, or related technologies in a software development context is a plus.
- Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification is preferred.
- Integration platform knowledge: Exposure to MuleSoft or DataWeave is beneficial.
- Technical stack: Familiarity with Salesforce Platform, Health Cloud, MuleSoft, Git, Azure DevOps, JIRA, and modern AI development tooling.
- Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with AI engineers, integration specialists, developers, and other stakeholders.
