This role sits at the intersection of advanced AI infrastructure and developer experience, focused on shaping how engineers and ML practitioners understand and adopt next-generation vector database technology. You will create and evolve high-impact documentation that enables thousands of developers worldwide to successfully build with cutting-edge AI systems. Working closely with engineering, product, and developer advocacy teams, you will translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured, and accessible content. The environment is fast-moving and highly collaborative, with significant autonomy and ownership over documentation strategy and execution. Your work will directly influence product adoption, developer success, and overall platform usability. This is a high-impact role for a writer who thrives in technical depth and enjoys making complex systems simple and intuitive.

Accountabilities:

  • Plan, design, and write comprehensive technical documentation for developers, ML engineers, and technical architects, including APIs, SDKs, tutorials, and sample applications
  • Develop and maintain high-quality reference materials that support developer onboarding and advanced platform usage
  • Shape and improve the information architecture and overall user experience of the developer documentation portal
  • Establish and manage an iterative documentation lifecycle, ensuring continuous updates, accuracy, and usability improvements
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to document new features and ensure technical accuracy
  • Partner with customer success and developer advocacy teams to identify user needs and translate them into effective documentation
  • Use qualitative feedback and quantitative analytics to measure documentation effectiveness and guide improvements
  • Maintain consistency, clarity, and alignment across all technical content and documentation assets

Requirements:

  • Experience planning, researching, writing, and maintaining technical documentation for developers in a fast-paced or startup environment
  • Strong experience documenting and working with APIs, SDKs, and developer tools
  • Proficiency with docs-as-code workflows, version control systems, and static site generators
  • Familiarity with tools such as OpenAPI, Redocly, ReadMe, or similar documentation platforms
  • Exceptional writing skills with a strong focus on clarity, precision, and simplicity
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and document complex systems
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
  • Preferred: experience with databases, ML systems, or search technologies such as vector databases
  • Preferred: experience creating diagrams, visual aids, or video tutorials to enhance documentation
