Job Description:

At Job Duck, we are seeking a detail‑driven and compassionate Judicial Administrative Assistant who thrives in fast‑paced, document‑heavy legal environments and finds purpose in supporting clients during pivotal life moments. In this role, you will serve as a critical administrative anchor, ensuring court matters, filings, and client communications are handled with precision and care. Your daily work will directly support legal strategy, judicial compliance, and the overall client experience across sensitive practice areas. This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, proactive, and confident managing legal documentation and court‑driven deadlines. Salary Range: $1,150 to $1,220 USD

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Upload court orders and judicial documents into Clio Drive

  • Perform electronic court filings for Illinois and Missouri jurisdiction

  • Follow up on outstanding client payments

  • Prepare and send billing invoices

  • Manage client intake and schedule free case evaluations

  • Follow up with clients regarding case updates, required documents, and pending items

  • Track and manage strict deadlines related to DCFS appeals and administrative proceedings

  • Ensure discovery materials are complete, accurate, and properly filed

  • Collect, download, review, and organize discovery documents from clients

  • Update case notes and maintain well‑organized digital records

  • Calendar court deadlines, hearings, and administrative dates in accordance with court orders

  • Draft judicial and legal notices, petitions, and motions using provided templates and training materials

Requirements:

Required Skills  

• Strong organizational and time management skills

1-2 years of experience

• Ability to manage strict judicial and administrative deadlines
• Strong familiarity with legal templates, notices, and court‑ready documentation
• Comfort working in emotionally sensitive legal matters
• Reliable internet connection and remote work readiness

• High level of consistency and reliability
• Proactive and detail‑oriented work style
• Ability to anticipate next steps in court‑driven processes
• Tech‑savvy with confidence using legal and administrative software
• Clear and professional written communication skills
• Client‑focused and service‑oriented mindset
