Introduction

Premium Inboxes is the infrastructure layer behind some of the world's best cold email agencies. We build and manage Google and Microsoft inboxes for agencies, resellers, and operators who run outbound at scale and we do it faster and cleaner than anyone else, with a direct Google relationship and a 6-hour build SLA.

We run our high priority, top clients operation through shared Slack channels. No ticketing systems, no support queues just fast, human, direct communication with clients who are running live campaigns and need things done now.

We're hiring mid-level Account Managers to own a portfolio of agency clients. Your job is to make sure they grow with us, stay with us, and never have a reason to look elsewhere. This is a relationship-first role inside a technical product, and over time you'll develop the technical depth to diagnose deliverability issues and advise clients on their full infrastructure setup.

Duties & Responsibilities

Day-to-day client management

  • Own a portfolio of agency clients via dedicated shared Slack channels - responding within 10 minutes during working hours
  • Run onboarding calls within 48 hours of a new client joining, covering build SLA, sequencer setup, warmup best practices, and billing
  • Proactively monitor client inbox health and flag warmup misconfigurations before they become deliverability crises
  • Coordinate with the ops team to deliver inbox builds, reconnects, and rebuilds on time, keeping clients informed throughout

 

Expansion & upsell

  • Identify agency clients who are winning new end-clients and ensure we get their next inbox order 
  • Track inbox volumes per client and proactively introduce volume pricing tiers before clients feel they're overpaying at scale
  • Introduce the affiliate and reseller programme to clients who run courses, communities, or audiences
  • Spot when a client is using one sequencer and offer to get additional platforms connected (Smartlead, Bison, Instantly, PlusVibe)

 

Retention & churn prevention

  • Recognise early churn signals: competitor mentions (InboxKit, ScaledMail), billing complaints, deliverability frustration
  • Audit client billing setups proactively - merge fragmented accounts, add subscription tags, align billing dates to client cashflow where needed
  • Follow up on any cancelled subscription within 48 hours to understand what drove it and whether it's recoverable
  • Escalate technical deliverability issues to Tomas/ops with a clear brief - root cause, affected accounts, client urgency

 

Documentation & product feedback

  • Log recurring client friction points and feature requests to feed back into the product roadmap
  • Contribute to the internal playbooks and knowledge base as you learn what works

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required

  • 1–2 years in an account management, customer success, or similar client-facing role - ideally inside a SaaS, agency, or tech-enabled service business
  • Comfortable working primarily over Slack and async communication - clear, fast, warm written communication is core to this role
  • Strong enough with technical concepts to hold an intelligent conversation about DNS, email warmup, deliverability, and sequencer integrations - you don't need to be an engineer, but you can't be afraid of the tech
  • Organised and proactive - you spot a risk before the client does and you act on it

 

Nice to have

  • Experience with cold email tools: Smartlead, Instantly, Bison, Lemlist
  • Understanding of email infrastructure: Google Workspace, Cloudflare, SPF/DKIM/DMARC
  • Background working with cold email agencies or B2B sales infrastructure
  • Experience managing high-volume, multi-client portfolios

Package & Remuneration

This is a full-time remote role with a competitive base salary: $2,000 / 34,000 ZAR per month

Salary reviews happen at 6 months. We'll be transparent about expectations and progression from day one - this role has a clear path toward a more senior, technical AM position as the team scales.
