Introduction

We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to own our LLM integrations and semantic intelligence layer.

In this role, you will lead the hands-on architecture, engineering, and implementation of production-grade Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, vector search pipelines, and LLM-powered workflows within a scalable SaaS environment. You will be key in transforming complex AI capabilities into robust, reliable product features.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • LLM Architecture & Integration: Own and productionize all LLM integrations across the core product ecosystem.

  • RAG Systems Design: Design, build, and deploy scalable RAG architectures for high-performance applications.

  • Semantic Search Standards: Standardize strategy across embedding, chunking, retrieval, and prompt engineering.

  • Vector Database Operations: Own vector database selection, performance tuning, indexing, and scaling.

  • Evaluation Frameworks: Implement frameworks to continuously evaluate and measure retrieval accuracy and answer quality.

  • Performance & Cost Optimization: Optimize systems for latency control, token efficiency, operational costs, and end-to-end observability.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Backend Engineering and DevOps teams to ensure system reliability and seamless scalability.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Proven SaaS Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade RAG systems in SaaS environments.

  • LLM Expertise: Strong experience working with major LLM providers and open-source models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Llama, Hugging Face).

  • Vector Databases: Direct hands-on experience with vector search solutions (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, OpenSearch, Qdrant).

  • Python Engineering: Advanced Python development skills with emphasis on clean, production-ready code.

  • Data Processing: Experience working with document-heavy architectures, unstructured data pipelines, and text parsing.

  • Advantageous: Experience operating within regulated, compliance-heavy, or security-sensitive SaaS environments.
