Opportunity for impact
At Newfire Global Partners, we build software for some of the most innovative companies in the world. We are a global advisory and software development company solving real-world challenges through human-centric technology. With a 24x5 "follow the sun" workflow spanning the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific, we partner with industry leaders in digital healthcare, fintech, enterprise technology, and more to drive transformation.
We believe in prioritizing talent, fostering long-term relationships, and leveraging AI and modern data strategies to empower our clients. We are looking for an innovative Analytics Engineer to join us on this journey.
What's the Project?
We are looking for a highly autonomous, remote Analytics Engineer to operate as a primary individual contributor and strategic data partner. Because our needs—and our clients'—are constantly evolving, this role isn't just about taking tickets; it's about taking ownership.
You will sit at the intersection of data engineering and data analytics. You'll work closely with departmental stakeholders and business analysts to map the enterprise architecture, understand how data flows across siloed departments, and build the infrastructure and visualizations that enable key leaders to make critical business decisions.
Your day-to-day activities:
-
Build & Maintain: Design and construct robust data warehouses and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure data is clean, reliable, and accessible.
-
Map the Ecosystem: Play a key role in building out our enterprise architecture. You will map data flows across various siloed departments, understanding the complete lifecycle of how data is created, transformed, and consumed across the system.
-
Fuel AI Innovation: Build and optimize data pipelines that are not just report-ready, but AI-ready, ensuring our infrastructure can support advanced machine learning models, predictive analytics, and AI-driven business solutions.
-
Visualize & Storytell: Collaborate directly with business analysts and departmental leaders to translate complex data into meaningful, user-friendly dashboards and visualizations.
-
Adapt & Innovate: Pivot seamlessly as client needs evolve, applying a solid conceptual understanding of data to solve dynamic business problems.
-
Advise & Communicate: Act as a bridge between highly technical data systems and strategic business goals, communicating insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
-
As a Senior team member, you will be expected to actively participate in our hiring processes by serving on interview panels for future roles across the company.
Please note that employment will be contingent upon providing documentation verifying your legal work authorization in the country of residence, in accordance with applicable law.
You’re a perfect match if you have:
-
Proven Experience: A strong track record as a mid-tier professional in data analytics, data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field.
-
Education: A relevant university degree is preferred.
-
Solid Conceptual Foundation: Deep, foundational knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and analytics concepts. We care more about your ability to learn and adapt than your memorization of a specific syntax.
-
Architectural Mindset: Experience (or a strong interest) in enterprise architecture, data lineage, and mapping complex data flows across large organizations.
-
Exceptional Communication: The ability to work seamlessly as a remote, solo contributor while maintaining highly collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
Technical Experience (Tool-Agnostic Landscape)
We are entirely tool-agnostic. We believe that exceptional engineers are defined by their conceptual understanding, not by a specific software checklist. We want problem-solvers who can quickly learn and adapt to whatever tool is most appropriate for the task at hand.
To give you clarity on the scope and intent of this role, candidates with the level of experience we are looking for have typically worked with tools and concepts such as:
-
Cloud Data Warehousing: e.g., Snowflake
-
Data Transformation: e.g., dbt
-
Querying & Scripting: e.g., SQL
-
BI & Data Visualization: e.g., Power BI or DOMO
AI & Automation: Familiarity with leveraging AI-assisted tools to optimize pipelines and engineering workflows.
