Role Overview

Carisk Partners is a specialty risk transfer & care coordination company. The Care Coordinator Assistant position works closely with the Workers’ Compensation Care Coordinator to coordinate care and receipt of medical records on each case.


Role Responsibilities

  • Assignment of new referrals.
  • Attendance to FCN alignment calls for ongoing collaboration in support of the care coordinator.
  • Weekly collaboration with each assigned care coordinator to align on prioritization on each care coordinator’s caseload.
  • Procurement of all medical bills and records within CCP development process with tracking of all outstanding needs and report back to clinical leadership team.
  • Logging of all upcoming appointments to newly created progress report and tracking of all patient appointments for follow up for records post appointment.
  • MyMatrixx enrollment on all Travelers patients once patient/attorney consent is received. For all other clients, patients are enrolled to the MyMatrixx platform upon contract approval.
  • Uber Health scheduling for all Carisk patients, maintenance/management of Uber status drop down within claimant look up screen.
  • Submission of PR sourcing requests to Provider relations team.
  • Maintenance of treating provider tab and involved providers on each Carisk patient case. Confirmation upon index of record- that provider is added.
  • Referral submission to preferred provider networks as directed by care coordination team
  • Scribe all Comprehensive Clinical Interviews and provide CCI summary for incorporation into Carisk Care Coordination Plan.
  • Behavioral Health support via editing of CCP at the Behavioral Health Expert’s direction.
  • Facilitate utilization review submissions on behalf of care coordinator.
  • Submission of Travelers progress reports and medical records to the Travelers portal.
  • Facilitate sending out the billing guide to all providers that are added on Risk File and Behavioral Health Providers on FFS Files.
  • Ensure that, at the close of each file, Risk or FFS that every provider is notified in writing of the end date of Carisk’s involvement as the payor and providing the provider with the proper billing information for the carrier.
  • Ensure that all ancillary providers, DME, HHC, Transportation, Ancillary Services are all notified of the contract end date.


Role Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish Preferred, fluency in both verbal and written communications.
  • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, medical office management, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 1–2 years of experience in healthcare coordination, medical records management, or administrative support in a clinical or managed care setting required.
  • Experience working with Workers' Compensation or in a care coordination environment is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and ability to quickly learn internal systems and platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft professional correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
