Civil Engineer - PE
Sustainability Engineering Group
SEG | Remote or Hybrid — Phoenix, Dallas, Denver, or Charlotte/Raleigh
Every skyline, every subdivision, every stretch of road that actually works the way it's supposed to — someone stamped their name to it first. We want that someone to be you.
At SEG, we're not a firm where engineers get buried under red tape and someone else's decisions. We design the land development, public works, and urban planning projects that shape how real communities grow — across the Southwest and into new markets throughout the U.S. If you've got your PE and you're tired of your license doing more work than your career is, this is the seat we built for you.
What You'll Actually Do
- Lead design and technical delivery on land development, public works, and municipal projects from concept to construction.
- Work directly with clients and municipal partners instead of routing everything through three layers of management.
- Mentor engineers coming up behind you and help shape how SEG designs, not just what it designs.
- Take on projects with real variety — no getting boxed into the same drainage report for the next five years.
Where and How You Work
This role is remote or hybrid, based from Phoenix, Dallas, Denver, or the Charlotte/Raleigh area — wherever you do your best work. We care about the quality of what you design, not which chair you're sitting in when you design it.
Why SEG
- Real ownership on real projects — not a career spent checking someone else's math.
- A firm growing into new markets, which means more variety and more room to grow with it.
- Support for your license and your career, not just your billable hours.
- A team that treats engineers like the professionals they are.
What You Bring
- An active PE license in any U.S. state — we'll help with reciprocity/comity licensing if you need it in a new state.
- Solid experience in civil engineering design, ideally spanning land development, public works, or municipal projects.
- Comfort owning a project rather than waiting to be told the next step.
- Proficiency with standard civil design tools (Civil 3D or equivalent).
