Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cvent Platform Administrator to administer, maintain, govern, and support the Cvent platform and its associated integrations. The role will focus on platform configuration, access management, change and release management, operational governance, compliance, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience administering Cvent and a strong understanding of platform configuration, data flows, integrations, APIs, reporting, access controls, and downstream systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cvent Platform Administration

  • Administer and maintain the Cvent platform, including:

    • Account settings

    • Templates

    • Workflows

    • User roles

    • Permissions

    • Configuration standards

  • Manage platform configuration, including:

    • Custom fields

    • Reporting settings

    • Registration settings

    • Templates and workflows

    • User access and permissions

2. Change & Release Management

  • Manage platform change and release activity, including:

    • Impact assessment

    • Testing

    • Documentation

    • Approvals

    • Communications

  • Ensure platform changes are assessed for operational, reporting, compliance, and data-flow impacts.

  • Understand and manage configuration dependencies across Cvent, integrations, and downstream systems.

3. Configuration, Access & Compliance Governance

  • Perform regular configuration, access, and control reviews.

  • Ensure the platform remains aligned with:

    • Privacy requirements

    • Information security requirements

    • Compliance requirements

    • Operational requirements

  • Conduct access reviews and configuration reviews.

  • Support audit evidence, compliance controls, and risk remediation activities.

  • Identify configuration drift and improvement opportunities.

  • Work with stakeholders to agree and track remediation actions.

4. Integration & Data Flow Management

  • Understand and document how platform configuration, data fields, integrations, APIs, and downstream systems depend on each other.

  • Assess the impact of configuration changes on:

    • Data flows

    • Reporting

    • Operational processes

    • Compliance controls

  • Manage configuration dependencies across Cvent and connected systems.

  • Support integrations between Cvent and:

    • CRM platforms

    • Marketing automation platforms

    • Identity platforms

    • Data warehouses

    • Reporting platforms

5. Incident & Vendor Support

  • Support incidents and service requests related to:

    • Cvent configuration

    • Access

    • Integrations

    • Reporting

    • Platform behavior

  • Coordinate vendor support and vendor cases.

  • Troubleshoot platform issues.

  • Document root cause, impact, and resolution.

6. Documentation & Operational Governance

  • Maintain comprehensive platform documentation, including:

    • Configuration baselines

    • Support procedures

    • Change records

    • Decision logs

    • Compliance evidence

  • Ensure documentation remains accurate and up to date.

  • Support operational governance within a controlled technology environment.

  • Follow established change management and release management processes.

  • Hands-on experience administering Cvent.

  • Ability to understand and document dependencies between:

    • Platform configuration

    • Data fields

    • Integrations

    • Downstream systems

  • Strong understanding of the impact of configuration changes on data flows, reporting, and compliance controls.

  • Understanding of change management, release management, and operational governance in a controlled technology environment.

  • Experience with:

    • Access reviews

    • Configuration reviews

    • Audit evidence

    • Compliance controls

    • Risk remediation

  • Ability to troubleshoot platform issues, coordinate vendor support, and document root cause, impact, and resolution.

  • Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently across global teams and manage competing priorities.

  • Cvent certification or advanced Cvent administration experience.
