Introduction

Our client, a leading data analytics and market intelligence firm, is seeking a Mid-Level Data Scientist to design, develop, and improve scalable data science solutions and analytical products. This role combines data science, architecture, engineering, and machine learning capabilities to deliver commercial business value for internal and external stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Pipelines: Design data architectures and build, optimize, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines.

  • ML & Product Delivery: Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models and predictive analytical products.

  • Innovation & R&D: Evaluate new data sources and technologies to prototype and build high-impact data products.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Translate complex business problems into technical solutions for diverse clients.

  • Best Practices: Maintain high standards in code quality, documentation, deployment, and team knowledge sharing.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • BSc Honours or MSc in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in data science, ML engineering, or analytics engineering.

  • Proven track record of building production-level data pipelines and deploying commercial ML models/POCs.

 

Technical Skills

  • Core Stack: Python, SQL, Power BI (Advanced Excel is a plus).

  • Engineering: Pipeline design, data modeling, ETL/ELT, version control, and software engineering best practices.

  • Data Science: ML model lifecycle (development to deployment), statistical modeling, and Agile workflows.

  • Bonus Skills: Experience with logistical, geographic, or spatial data; background in retail or insurance.
