THE ROLE: DEVOPS ENGINEER

The DevOps Engineer will help build and maintain the infrastructure, automation and reliability supporting the Reseller platform. Working closely with the Engineering team, the role focuses on cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems that enable developers to deploy quickly and safely.

The role is also responsible for supporting a secure, scalable and highly available platform for partners around the world.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure in AWS.

• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable and repeatable deployments.

• Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage environments consistently.

• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting to support platform reliability.

• Participate in an on-call rotation, responding to incidents, diagnosing root causes and carrying out post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.

• Identify repeatable operational tasks and automate them.

• Support distributed systems, containerisation and orchestration within a cloud environment.

• Follow and help uphold security best practices across infrastructure, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning and access control.

• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot performance, scalability and deployment issues.

• Write documentation for infrastructure, processes and runbooks.

Desired Experience & Qualification

ABOUT YOU

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering role.

• Solid computer science foundations, including some exposure to distributed systems.

• Experience working in AWS cloud environments.

• Experience writing Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Experience with CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.

• Experience with containerisation using Docker.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tooling, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or CloudWatch.

• Familiarity with security standards and authentication methods, including API key, JWT and OAuth 2.0.

• Familiarity with Cloudflare.

• Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation.

• Experience working in Agile environments.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving.

• Strong communication skills and comfortable working with stakeholders and customers.

• Comfortable working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Collaborative and supportive, with a willingness to continue learning from more senior team members.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent.

• Exposure to orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

• Experience with programming languages such as Go, Java or C# is a bonus.

• Experience with Event-Driven architecture.

• Familiarity with database administration and optimisation using Postgres.

• Experience working in a telecoms or SaaS environment.
