Description

As a Field Service Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will provide technical support and service to our customers, ensuring the effective installation, maintenance, and repair of Honeywell products and systems. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

You will report directly to our Service Manager and you’ll work out of our Fort Washington, PA location on an Remote  work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the reliability and performance of customer systems by maintaining customer Quality Control Systems, through scheduled and unscheduled visits , helping to maintain Honeywell’s reputation for quality and customer care.



Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain quality control system hardware and software (cleaning debris from sensors, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues with the frame and sensor package, troubleshooting the computer system and HMI/control software, and maintaining the working state of the entire Honeywell quality control solution)
  • Resolve customer service-related issues while fostering customer relationships and working to solve technical problems on-site. Deal directly with, and communicate effectively with plant operators, plant management, 3rd party vendors, and other Honeywell personnel in support of service operations.
  • Accurately document the work that is performed for periodic preventive maintenance and intermittent corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Play an active role in various projects such as upgrades, new installations, or new functionality for customers. Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments.
  • Applying safety rules and safe practices, as well as environmental responsibilities during all service activities.
  • Leading Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities at customer sites and reporting unsafe practices and incidents to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Identifying new service business opportunities in close cooperation with customers and Honeywell teams.

 



Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2 or more years of electrical/electronics, instrumentation or process control related experience ; or relevant military experience
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment such as voltmeters or multi-meters.
  • Mechanical/Electrical aptitude including a basic understanding of electrical theory and electrical safety.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical systems; ability to diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems and perform preventive maintenance using electrical test equipment.
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools.

 

WE VALUE

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in  Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Basic understanding of the paper making process and process control
  • Experience in industrial automation or process control environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Experience with Honeywell products or similar technologies is a plus.
