Full-Stack Node.js/Python and React Engineer (Remote)

We are looking to expand our roster with a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-focused) located in Latin America to join a client-facing team through a staff augmentation engagement. This role requires strong backend expertise, while collaborating across the full stack to support scalable, high-performance systems.
The ideal candidate has solid experience building backend services, APIs, and data-driven systems, and can work closely with frontend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
We are looking for:
6+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Engineer
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and/or Python in production environments
Experience with React and Next.js
Proficiency with TypeScript
Solid experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
Proven experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
Experience with AWS and cloud-based environments
Strong understanding of backend scalability, performance optimization, and observability
Ability to take ownership of backend systems and work autonomously
Excellent communication skills in English
Nice to have:
Background in Healthcare, ERP, or regulated industries
Experience working on high-traffic or consumer-facing platforms
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker
