The Opportunity

We’re looking for an energetic, fast-paced Graphic Designer with at least two to three years of experience in layout and branding. This role is ideal for someone who can decipher briefs quickly and deliver high-quality materials under short timelines. You are a "visual storyteller" who can maintain brand consistency while creating assets for everything from live global events to daily social media feeds. We are actively looking for candidates based in LATAM.



This position is remote and requires a high level of coordination and communication skills to be successful. You must be able to work independently, meet goals, set tasks in a timely manner, join meetings via video, and periodically work outside normal company hours for special events or projects.


Why This Role Matters

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Creative Team, the Graphic Designer is essential to Skift's editorially-led creative operation. By transforming data and briefs into high-quality publications and brand assets, you ensure that our influential travel industry coverage is as visually compelling as it is informative. Your work directly enhances our editorial output and supports our global sales and event initiatives.


Some of What You’ll Do

Daily Creative Execution & High-Velocity Output

  • Lead the visual design of a diverse range of projects, including digital advertising, social media assets, editorial graphics, and event branding.
  • Operate with high velocity, taking responsibility for quickly iterating on designs based on real-time feedback.
  • Transform complex travel industry data and insights into clear, compelling visual narratives and infographics.

Project Ownership & Collaboration

  • Take full ownership of design projects from concept to completion, working closely with the team to review and execute work.
  • Partner directly with the Editorial and Marketing teams to solve complex communication problems through strategic visuals.
  • Articulate your design choices clearly to stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration across our global, remote workflow.

Brand Maintenance & Evolution

  • Maintain and evolve the Skift visual identity system across all platforms and events.
  • Ensure strict brand consistency while actively pushing the boundaries of how the brand is perceived in the market.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within a fast-paced media, agency, or tech environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
  • Bonus: Experience with motion graphics (After Effects) or advanced data visualization is a significant plus.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating not just beautiful design, but strategic thinking and the ability to solve complex communication problems through visuals.
  • Agility and resilience, with a proven ability to thrive in an environment where priorities shift quickly and rapid execution is the standard.
  • Strong communication skills, allowing you to articulate design choices clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Velocity & Quality: On-time delivery and rapid iteration of high-quality design assets, taking them seamlessly from concept to completion.
  • Brand Impact: Successful maintenance and evolution of the Skift visual identity, ensuring consistency while elevating the brand's market perception.
  • Data Translation: The ability to consistently and effectively translate complex travel industry data into compelling, easy-to-understand visual narratives.
  • Collaboration: Proactive communication, clear articulation of design rationale, and seamless partnership with the Editorial and Marketing teams.
