Lodge, Travel & Touring Company is looking for a HubSpot Integration Specialist to build and maintain the technical connections between HubSpot and the wider systems that support their three core brands across B2C and B2B operations. This role focuses on joining up HubSpot with VOIP, WhatsApp, email infrastructure, back-of-house operational systems, and data enrichment tools.

You’ll start by auditing the current integrations, understanding what exists today, where the gaps and risks are, and how well systems are talking to each other. From there, you’ll help design and build a solid, well-documented integration foundation, before moving on to further enhancements: improved automations, better data flows, and new connections that help teams across the business work faster and with better information.

This is a hands-on, technically minded role for someone who understands HubSpot’s API and automation tools, is comfortable working with tools like Zapier alongside native or custom integrations and enjoys taking a system that has grown over time and making it more scalable and reliable.

As we scale, this role will naturally expand to cover a broader integrations roadmap, additional systems, and more advanced automation, while remaining grounded in a strong technical foundation and close partnership with the Head of CRM.

This position is based in Johannesburg or Cape Town.

Duties:

Integration Audit & Strategy:

Audit our existing HubSpot integrations across VOIP, WhatsApp, email, back-of-house systems and data enrichment tools to understand current state, coverage and gaps
Map how data currently flows between HubSpot and connected systems, flagging where flows are manual, fragile or undocumented
Identify risks, inefficiencies and duplicated effort in the current integration landscape
Develop a prioritized integration roadmap, distinguishing quick wins, foundational fixes and longer-term enhancements
Recommend the right integration approach for each use case (native HubSpot integrations, Zapier, middleware, or custom API-based solutions) based on reliability, cost and maintainability

Core System Integrations:

Build, maintain and troubleshoot the integration between HubSpot and our VOIP/telephony systems, ensuring call data, logs and recordings flow correctly into the CRM
Manage and improve the WhatsApp integration, supporting reliable two-way messaging and conversation history within HubSpot
Design and maintain integrations with our 2–3 internal back-of-house systems, ensuring accurate, timely data exchange to support operational teams
Implement and manage data enrichment tool integrations to improve contact and company data quality across B2C and B2B pipelines
Ensure integrations are built with our three core brands in mind, respecting the different data and workflow needs of each

HubSpot API & Automation Development:

Work directly with the HubSpot API to build custom integrations and data syncs beyond out-of-the-box functionality
Design, build and maintain Zapier/N8N workflows (or equivalent automation tooling) to connect HubSpot with third-party systems
Build custom-coded workflow actions and webhooks where native tools fall short
Monitor integration performance and set up error handling and alerting so issues are caught before they impact users
Keep pace with new HubSpot API capabilities, connectors and platform updates relevant to our integration stack

Data Quality & Governance:

Establish and maintain data mapping, validation and transformation standards across all integrated systems
Monitor data quality across B2C and B2B pipelines and address root causes of data mismatches between systems
Support secure and compliant handling of customer data as it moves between systems
Keep integration documentation up to date as systems change, covering architecture, data flows and troubleshooting steps

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

Partner with the Head of CRM to align integration priorities with wider CRM and business strategy
Work closely with internal teams to understand system requirements and dependencies
Liaise with external vendors and integration partners where needed
Translate technical integration concepts clearly for non-technical stakeholders across sales, marketing and operations
Support the HubSpot Support Specialist team by escalating and resolving complex integration issues beyond level 1 troubleshooting

Requirements:

HubSpot Certification (Sales, Marketing, or Service Hub)
At least 3+ years of CRM experience with HubSpot or a similar platform (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho, Dynamics), including hands-on use of APIs
Proven experience building and maintaining integrations using Zapier and/or similar automation tools
Practical experience integrating CRM platforms with telephony/VOIP systems, messaging platforms (e.g. WhatsApp Business API) and email infrastructure
Experience integrating a CRM with internal operational or back-of-house systems
Familiarity with data enrichment tools and their integration into a CRM environment
Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication and JSON data structures
Comfortable reading and writing basic scripts or custom code to extend integrations where needed
Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation and data quality principles
Strong analytical and systematic troubleshooting skills
Excellent documentation habits and the ability to explain technical work to non-technical stakeholders

Skills:

Technical: HubSpot API, workflow automation, Zapier/iPaaS tooling, webhooks, OAuth, JSON, custom scripting, data mapping and transformation
Systems Integration: VOIP/telephony, WhatsApp Business API, email infrastructure, internal back-of-house systems, data enrichment platforms
