Introduction

A Dynamic Company  is seeking  a  highly skilled Senior Java and Angular Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java back-end development and Angular front-end development, with a strong understanding of full-stack development principles. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

 

  • 12 month contract
  • 168 hrs per month 
  • Hybrid - 2 days in office - Pretoria
  • R520 per hour max rate 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Design and Build: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Java and Angular.
  • Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Code Review: Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Performance: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Testing: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of the applications.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and conduct regular training sessions.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of design and code changes.

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring / Spring Boot

  • Build dynamic, responsive front-end applications using Angular (latest versions)

  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs

  • Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, and QA teams

  • Write clean, secure, and maintainable code

  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization

  • Participate in code reviews and Agile/Scrum ceremonies

  • Maintain application documentation and technical specifications

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Experience and Skills 

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Java development and 4+ years of experience with Angular.
  • Back-End: Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), and Hibernate.
  • Front-End: Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Databases: Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Tools: Proficiency with build tools such as Maven or Gradle, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Architecture: Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and full-stack development.
  • Testing: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to security best practices in web development.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with other front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js.

 

Qualifiaction:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

 

Package & Remuneration

12 month contract

168 hrs per month 

Hybrid - 2 days in office - Pretoria

R520 per hour max rate
