Job Title: Mortgage Loan Underwriter Department: Underwriting Location: On-site preferred (Meridian, ID) or virtual Employment Type: Full-Time DE Required. SAR Preferred     Position Summary: Underwrite mortgage loans that adhere to various agency underwriting policy and procedures. Additionally, responsible for answering questions and assist with problem solving with loan officers and processors, and respond to both internal and external QC audit findings in a timely and proficient manner. Responsible for providing efficient, timely, consistent, accurate quality loan decisions daily.     Key Responsibilities: Adhere to various agency underwriting policy and procedures Answer questions and assist with problem solving with loan officers and processors Respond to both internal and external QC audit findings in a timely and proficient manner Responsible for providing efficient, timely, consistent, accurate quality loan decisions on a daily basis   Qualifications/Skills: Three years’ underwriting experience FHA/Conventional Mandatory VA/USDA highly preferred Multi state highly preferred Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written Capable of working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines on a consistent basis Strong mathematical aptitude Ability to calculate income via W-2/Tax Returns Adept at analyzing issues and determining best approach for solution General experience and understanding of the following products: Byte Loan Origination Software Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Internet Navigation Strong Interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to work with a diverse client base (Loan Originators, processors etc)\Detail Oriented Adept at working in a high volume, fast paced environment Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year (compensation to commensurate with experience)   Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Vision insurance
