  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary game development teams, working effectively with creative, design, art, programming, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of current video game trends, genres, player audiences, and market expectations, with the ability to create narratives that are relevant and engaging.
  • Experience with game engines or narrative tools such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or Twine is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate what makes narrative experiences compelling, effective, and memorable.
  • Comfort with constructive feedback, both giving and receiving it, with a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn, with an active interest in developing narrative design skills and adapting to feedback.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Pathfinder universe and/or Action RPGs (ARPGs) is considered a strong bonus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a creative, fast-moving development environment.

Benefits

  • Freelance contract through March 2027, with the possibility of extension.
  • Remote work from Quebec, Canada, with the option for hybrid work in Quebec City.
  • Competitive hourly or daily rate, based on experience and expertise.
