You are comfortable with the tools and processes that enable efficient and resilient delivery using modern engineering practices. You are curious about emerging technologies and can communicate clearly with engineering peers and stakeholders. You are approachable, self driven, and collaborative.
What You Will Do
Design and Implementation 75 percent
- Build solutions using Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.
- Write code to automate the infrastructure lifecycle and create internal tools using IaC and CLIs.
- Partner with domain experts in Security, Infrastructure, Networking, Observability, Delivery, and Operations to research, analyze, and implement new capabilities.
- Contribute to the growth of the Cloud Engineering program through thought leadership and practical tooling and process improvements.
- Continuously develop skills to thrive in a poly skilled, agile engineering environment.
Team Operations and Success 25 percent
- Implement cloud first architectural solutions and best practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to peer reviews of engineering artifacts.
- Maintain, operate, and monitor platform products and infrastructure.
- Help identify and resolve production and production like issues.
- Ensure adherence to development standards and security policies and procedures.
What You Bring
Core Experience
- 3 plus years working with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD frameworks, immutable infrastructure, automation, orchestration, and modern DevOps patterns.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, DevOps, and microservices concepts.
- Hands on experience with distributed cloud infrastructure in AWS.
- Experience building event driven, serverless cloud applications.
Technologies
- AWS services such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch. DynamoDB experience is a plus.
- Coding and scripting with Python and JavaScript. Experience with Node.js and React.js is helpful.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present ideas in clear, user friendly language.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem solving abilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and cross functional partners.
- Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast paced environment.
Pay Rate Range: $80-$90 per hr (Depending on Experience)
