The Role

The Power Platform Technical Lead & Senior Developer is a hands-on role responsible for leading the design and delivery of Power Platform solutions, while remaining actively involved in development, integration, and support.

This position combines deep technical expertise in Power Apps and Power Automate with leadership responsibilities across solution design, code quality, integration patterns, and application lifecycle management (ALM). You will collaborate closely with Architects, Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions across multiple initiatives.

This is a delivery-focused role rather than a platform ownership position, making it ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys building solutions, leading by example, and solving complex integration challenges.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Power Platform Development

  • Design, build, and maintain Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps using Power Apps
  • Develop complex Power Automate workflows integrating with Dynamics 365 F&O and CE
  • Build and support Dataverse-based solutions aligned to Dynamics data models
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and integration issues

Technical Leadership

  • Act as Technical Lead for Power Platform delivery across projects
  • Lead solution design and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and maintainability
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to development teams

Dynamics 365 Integration

  • Design and implement integrations with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Build and maintain integrations with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE)
  • Utilise standard connectors, custom connectors, APIs, and event-driven patterns
  • Ensure integrations are secure, scalable, and performant

ALM, DevOps & Quality

  • Implement and maintain Power Platform ALM practices
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions
  • Support deployments, hotfixes, and release management activities
  • Ensure defects are resolved efficiently and sustainably

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with Architects, Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, and Project Managers
  • Participate in design workshops and technical planning sessions
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges within delivery teams

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Proven experience integrating Power Platform with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Proven experience integrating Power Platform with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE)
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse, Dynamics data models, and security frameworks
  • Experience with APIs, custom connectors, and modern integration patterns
  • Solid experience with Power Platform ALM and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Functions
  • Previous experience in a Technical Lead or Senior Developer role

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed

You will bring strong experience in Power Platform and Dynamics 365, with a proven track record of delivering integrated solutions across Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE).

You are comfortable working end-to-end—from solution design through to development, deployment, and production support—and enjoy mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and serving as a technical authority within delivery teams.

Package & Remuneration

R1m-R1.7m pa (Depending on experience)
